The Vacancy

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, is an assignment in a French company operating overseas for professionals between the age of 18 and 28 who are European Union nationals (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).

As VIE you will work closely as strong part of the Middle Office Team with diverse Front Offices (Sales, Trading, Origination) and with several Back Offices located in Paris. You will have daily contact to our German and Austrian clients via phone and email. After an intensive introduction you will be responsible for several tasks like reconciliation, validation and trade input. As you will sit close to local Sales in the same Trading Floor you will have the chance to look over their shoulder and feel the spirit of Capital Markets.

In this context your main activities will include:

  • Work closely with the team of Middle Office in their daily tasks:
  • Manage the general interface between German and Austrian Customers, Back and Front Offices (Paris, London) for all Capital Markets products: Credit, Rate, FX
  • Key contact for clients, Sales and Back Offices
  • Monitoring P&L reporting for Sales and Management
  • Mark to Market reporting
  • Diverse FIM controls

What we are looking for:

  • Master degree in Business, Economics or equivalent
  • First experience in the financial sector / banking
  • Very good numerical and analytical skills
  • Work experience abroad would be a plus
  • Good knowledge of both English and German (written and spoken)
